We are seeking for someone who will set technical direction, standards, and best practices for the frontend team, while also helping the team grow.

If you are experienced in managing, leading, and mentoring a team of engineers, you're the one we've been looking for.

Your career so far

You fell in love with Frontend right at the beginning of your career. You're a front-ender to the core, but also a thoughtful communicator with experience guiding the team toward more robust front-end solutions. Besides having previous leadership experience, you are enthusiastic about mentoring your team in both technical and soft skills.

You have:

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience;
  • 1+ year(s) of experience making architectural decisions based on functional and non-functional requirements;
  • 1+ year(s) of experience in leading a team and outstanding teamwork skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Expert-level proficiency with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript;
  • Proficiency with a web application framework/library such as React or Vue;
  • Experience developing REST web services;
  • Solid understanding of Responsive Web Design, Accessibility, Web Performance, and API Integration;
  • Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues;
  • Proficiency in version control systems such as Git.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Being up-to-date with frontend technology trends and best practices;
  • An eye for good design;
  • Experience with automated testing tools such as Jest, Enzyme, Cypress, or similar;
  • Knowledge of web security best practices;
  • Familiarity with serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda or Azure Functions.

Here's your daily life at Neopix:

  • Work with product managers, development team, and business stakeholders to understand and define requirements in terms of epics and user stories, give an estimate or two, and pick the right tool for the job;
  • Make large-scale architectural decisions in a collaborative environment;
  • Design and implement solutions for user stories on time and with high quality;
  • Participate in scrum meetings such as standup, planning, review, and retrospective;
  • Conduct code reviews;
  • Work closely with the Design Team to ensure design specifications are met;
  • Set technical standards and best practices for the frontend team, and ensure that the team follows them;
  • Determine the technical direction of the frontend team and ensure the team remains focused on delivering quality solutions;
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to team members to ensure their development and growth, and work on hiring new team members.
